Hi! I would like to request for information regarding 1) the number of cases filed with the NEA; and 2) dates of filing and dates of resolution of cases. If the latter request is not possible, average resolution time would be alright. Thank you.

Hi! I am from the UP Law Center's Institute of Government and Law Reform. PD 3870 provides that we are the successor of the Code Commission thus one of our primary tasks is to draft legislation. We were tasked by one senator to draft a bill which requires data from your office. Thank you.

Dear Roland Oliquino,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Jun 30, 2021 10:25:12 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You asked for Number of cases filed and resolution time.
We can only disclose the average period of time wherein administrative cases filed before our Administrative Committee are resolved, the average period of time is one and a half (1.5) year for cases filed in the years 2019 and 2020. This was brought about by the current pandemic which caused the declaration of states of public health emergency and calamity and the imposition of community quarantines in varying degrees across the country, resulting in reduced operations, suspension of hearings and the physical closure of government offices. Thus, the Administrative Committee came up with its Proposed Guidelines on the Conduct of Hearings through Videoconferencing.
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Ms. Rosarita E. Salvador or Ms. Lourdes S. Quintero, FOI Receiving Officers at email address [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
Thank you.
Respectfully,
