Proposed Title: INNOVATIVE LIBRARY: A PROPOSED CITY LIBRARY IN IMUS WITH FUSION OF BIOPHILIC DESIGN CONCEPTS
Proponent: Jeychiele Y. Julao
BS in Architecture in De La Salle University - Dasmarinas
"Public libraries have been part of the Philippine cultural landscape for more than a century now, having paramount importance for they serve as the centers of urban culture and are valuable institutions for the preservation of elements of culture and tradition from generation to generation. Libraries are deemed to be conducive for learning and the primary source of knowledge for readers and researchers (Siyang, 2018). The researcher sees potential and at the same time a model example for promoting healthy values of architecture and creating a space that bridges the interrelation between people and nature, forging this connection by leveraging or inserting instances of nature, natural patterns, or spatial conditions into the built environment.
The main goal of the project is to be able to design an innovative library with biophilic applications. By providing resources for the community, the biophilic library will offer a unique way to connect literacy, learning, and an appreciation for nature as a regular part of the library visit. The project will contribute to the importance of architecture in promoting health and well-being for the people."
This OUTPUT shall include all the presentation of drawings. The final output shall include all presentation of drawings, form concept, site development plan, design schemes, evaluation of schematics, and finalization of floor plan and form.
