Hi, I wanted to know my bbenefitafor the new law for maternity leave that was just recently signed by the president. However when I was about to file it here in my company Telus Intl Mckinley West Branch, they said it is not yet implemented and still no idea when it will be implemented. I feel it is unacceptable since this law is already applied nationwide. I need your advise because due to this situation I have not submitted my documents for maternity leave.

Thank you for your message. In response to your query, the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Expanded Maternity Leave Law is yet to be released. For the meantime, we shall adopt the maternity leave benefit of 60 days for normal delivery and 78 days if Caesarian section, and the payment of maternity leave benefits is through the SSS.
