This is to respond withe the received remarks regarding my request on the Consolidated National Achievement Test (Overall) and the science learning area results with ticket number #DepEd-187841876601. Specifically, the needed data are the following:
Consolidated National Achievement Test (Overall) and the SCIENCE LEARNING AREA results of the following:
1. For the National Level school year 2010-2019
2. For the Regional Level (Region 1) of the year 2009-2019
3. For the Division Level(La Union Division) for the year 2009-2019
4. For the Schools belonging to the division for the year 2009-2019 Junior high School, 2017-2019 for the Senior High School
I requested for such data because currently I am conducting my Dissertation in DOctor of Philosophy in Science Education.
SHORT ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the curriculum of the different schools offering Special Science Class (SSC)/Science, Technology, Engineering (STE) Program of the Department of Education primarily in Region I, Division of La Union. This is to further evaluate if the program really attains its objective, mission and vision along with the science, technology and engineering. The intended output of this is will be a Policy Recommendation and Curriculum Evaluation Model.

I refer to my letter of Oct 03, 2020 01:16:00 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for National Achievement Test Results-Overall and Science Learning Area.
Please be informed of the additional requirements you need to submit. To process your request, kindly submit the following documents to [email protected], stating your FOI request tracking code:
a. Letter specifying the purpose of the request and the data being requested (year administration, scope, variables);
a. School ID to show proof that you are enrolled in a higher education institution;
B. Copy of your approved thesis/dissertation proposal signed by your Adviser;
c. Endorsement letter signed by the school Dean.
Note that the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA) can only release 10% of the actual number of examinees per year. Individual test results with names shall not be released unless the “data subject agrees to the collection and processing of personal information about and/or relating to him/her” per Section 3 of Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Additionally, a corresponding amount shall be charged by BEA for the processing of the data request.
For more information, kindly refer to Section 14 of DepEd Order no. 55, s. 2016, or the “Policy Guidelines on the National Assessment of Student Learning for the K-12 Basic Education Program” through this link: https://www.deped.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/DO_s2016_55-3.pdf.
