Good day!
I am a fourth-year Landscape Architecture student from the University of the Philippines, College of Architecture. I am currently working on my thesis this year as a final requirement for graduation.
With that said, my thesis topic is about designing transit-oriented, typology-based public space in the soon-to-rise MRT 7 station in University Avenue station. This would be achieved through extensive research about pedestrian patterns, socio-economic variables, and psychosocial variables in the area. This research would then aid me with my final output which is a network of spaces that are context-specific per station.
With this in mind, I would humbly like to ask your good office if you could assist me with this endeavor. I am hoping to get the following details:
1. Site Development Plan for the Proposed University Avenue station: Since I will be working on developing and maximizing Commonwealth Avenue as a big public space, the site development plans are important to achieving this. The building footprint for the station will be the key to effective spatial planning of each public space.
2. Number of floors, exits, entrances, and building capacities: The public spaces are dependent on the foot traffic that the area will receive. It is important that I consider the number of commuters that would pass through each building, and these details would help me in achieving that.
3. 3D Model of the station: This would aide me in envisioning the area and how it would relate to the area around it.
The thesis would explore how we could make our streets as one big public space that could be enjoyed by both motorists as well as pedestrians.
Thank you. Looking forward to your assistance.
