March 19, 2021 Dear Annamaria Hinolan, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Mar 16, 2021 10:53:33 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You asked for Monthly Wage Index. Your FOI request is approved. In reference to your data request, we do not have data on monthly wage index. We only have data on the average monthly occupational wage rate of selected occupations based on our Occupational Wages. But if you are referring to our published data on our OpenSTAT (https://openstat.psa.gov.ph/PXWeb/pxweb/en/DB/DB__3K__E3/0383K3E3100.px/?rxid=cb20ba1a-9931-4da2-b766-b23c499199d9), the data on Manufacturing Wage Index being referred is a derived indicator from the Decent Work Statistics which is computed using the average daily basic pay of workers in the manufacturing industry to measure adequate earnings for that particular industry only and not as basis for wage adjustments/remuneration packages for project contractors as per your request. Moreover, if your data requirement is for wage setting for specific industry and specific occupation, you may refer to our data on the Occupational Wages Survey (OWS). But for wage index, we only have index of compensation being produced by our Macroeconomic Accounts Service because compensation is consisting of all payments for wages and salaries and contributions to social security and to private pension, casualty insurance, life insurance and similar schemes.
