Hello! May I request for the actual number of minimum years of service as commissioned officer for the Armed Forces of the Philippines? This information will be used to finalize decision to join the Army.

I saw the response to a similar query. However, I was more interested in the minimum years of service for those who undergo OCC (Officer Candidate Course). Thanks, Cef

February 9, 2021 Dear Ceferino Kevin Tan, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 20, 2021 03:51:12 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for Minimum Years of Service as a Regular Officer. Response to Request The required minimum years of service depends on the mode of entry. For graduates of the Philippine Military Academy, the required number of years is eight. Graduates of the Army Officer Candidate Course are required to render at least three years. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you.
