26 February 2021 Dear Ms. Margaret Corinne Dizon, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 15 February 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following for your architectural thesis: (1) Mental Health Cases Demographic Data in Region 3. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD has no data regarding your request. Thus, we are constrained to deny the same. The Department of Health (DOH) might have the data you need because mental health is under its purview. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the DOH. You may make another request via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 651-7800 local 5001-5006 or via email at [email protected]. Further, pursuant to Presidential Decree 1509, as amended, the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) is the national government agency mandated to formulate policies and coordinate the activities of all agencies, whether public or private, concerning disability issues and concerns. As mental health is classified as a disability, they may have additional data. Hence, you also may wish to direct your request to the NCDA. You may contact them by telephone at 932-6422 or via email at [email protected]. You may also inquire with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The PSA may have the data you require. Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected]. Finally, as you are requesting for data in a particular region – Region 3, the respective provinces, cities and municipalities of Region 3, might be in a better position to provide the data you requested.
