Dance Xchange: The Philippine International Dance Workshop and Festival is a project organized by the National Committee on Dance of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. It was conceptualized as a Philippine celebration of the International Dance Day and in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 154, declaring the last week of April as the “National Dance Week”. This event has been held in Negros Oriental, in the Province of Capiz, National Capital Region, Province of Cebu, City of Puerto Princesa and in the Province of Isabela.
Come April 29- May 2, 2020, the NCCA-National Committee on Dance under the active and dynamic leadership of Ms. Shirley Halili-Cruz will bring Dance Xchange to the City of Iloilo and the Municipality of Pototan.
The Dance Xchange aims to: 1) enhance knowledge and skills of the dancers, dance teachers and choreographers on dances of the different countries as a creative expression of their culture, 2) strengthen network among dance groups from different countries, 3) showcase the unique dances of each country to enhance cultural understanding, 4) provide a platform for discussion and sharing on the global trends on dance and 5) harness the potential of the Philippines and of the City of Iloilo to be a cultural destination for dance in Asia.
The Dance Xchange will also be participated in by 15 foreign dance groups and 28 dance groups from the different parts of the Philippines representing the various dance genre –traditional and indigenous dances, ballet, contemporary, modern jazz and hiphop.
The Dance Xchange will have activities such as conference, dance workshops for teachers, tourism officers, instructors, outreach workshops for local dancers from the different cities and municipalities of Negros Oriental, festival of dance performances and cultural tours.
Indeed, “Dance communicates and expands the universal language of communication, giving birth to joy, beauty and the advancement of human knowledge”.
So, let dance give you power to communicate JOY!

I refer to my letter of Mar 06, 2020 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Masterlist of Private Schools in the Philippines. In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.
As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of May 29, 2020.
You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to or visiting our central office. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
