You asked for information relating to Lotto prize and taxation.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved. Relative thereto, may we provide you with the relevant information pertaining to your questions on the above subject:
1. How much is the exact lotto jackpot prize on ultra lotto 6/58 draw on October 14, 2018.
The Jackpot Prize for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 Draw on October 14, 2020 was PhP 1,180,622,508.00.
2. How much is the prize of the 2 winners of ultra lotto 6/58 on October 14, 2018 before tax.
The prize of the winners of the Ultra Lotto 6/58 Draw on October 14, 2020 was PhP 590,311,254.00 each prior to tax deductions,
3. And how much is the total take home prize of the 2 winners of ultra lotto 6/58 on October 14, 2018 after tax.
The take home prize of the two (2) winners after deduction of the 20% Prize Tax was PhP 472,249,003.20 each.
However, the second winner received additional prize money due to placement of their bet under System 9, equivalent to PhP 2,127,952.00 (after taxes). As such, the second winner's total take home prize was PhP 474,376,955.20.
4. Lastly, are the winner/s are being paid in full? if yes, cash or check?
The Jackpot winners were paid in full and were issued Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) checks.
