24 September 2019 Dear Ms. Eira Marie Bernardo, You requested for information on the following: “Statistics or demographics of people who goes in and out of Manila, specifically: (1) Their job/career choice; (2) The most picked career choice as to why they are working in Manila; and (3) What province and city has the highest number of people who goes in and out of the Metro for work?”. Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the Philippine Statistics Authority is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. The PSA may have the data for your request. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal.
