To whom it may concern,
Greetings of peace!
I am Rica Magracia, a Research Assistant under the project "Examining the Role of Retailers in Obesogenic Food Environments and Identifying Policy Opportunities to Address the Double Burden of Malnutrition in the Philippines." We are currently researching possible factors affecting the obesogenic food environment in the Philippines, including literacy rates. We are planning to do a longitudinal study from the numerical data and statistics gathered throughout the years. The study is intended to be published online in credible research journals.
We would like to request historical data on the past literacy rates in the Philippines. If possible, we would like to have all the data pertaining to literacy rates (e.g., from the earliest recorded years to present, by gender (male vs female), by age, and other relevant variables). These will surely help us in establishing the correlation between literacy rates and obesogenic food environments.
