Hi! I would like to request for information regarding: 1) The list of schools in the PH that have a comprehensive sexuality education program 2) What topics are covered by the comprehensive sexuality education program? This is for my thesis for my Practical Research subject. Thank you!

January 13, 2021 To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally request a copy of schools' list with a comprehensive sexuality education and the topics covered by the said program in the Philippines. The information will be used to supplement my on-going study entitled: Normalizing a Comprehensive Sexuality Education to Address Rape Culture Through Tarot Cards. My study aims to provide more information regarding how rape culture may be addressed via a CSE. To ramp up its advocacy and further normalize having a CSE as an essential subject, it was decided to use tarot card designs. Attached here is a draft of the abstract of my on-going study. "The present research was conducted to investigate further how Tarot Cards may be used as an art medium to ramp up the advocacy of a Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and further address rape culture. To achieve this agenda, information regarding the CSE program in The Philippines along with other existing journal articles concerning such and rape culture will be utilized to supplement the study and help in the creation of the intended final artwork output." Good day. Attached here is the abstract of my study. The goal of the study is to explore further how Tarot Card re-designs can help in standardizing a comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) to address cases of rape culture during the pandemic. In light of the new Coronavirus variant, the Philippines, not having full control of the situation, remains in quarantine. As a result of this, issues concerning overpopulation due to unwanted and teenage pregnancies, and gender-based violence particularly against young women have increased in number. In response to this, the government has made an effort to fabricate a CSE tailored to fit the online class set up to help alleviate the issues mentioned above. However, the inclusion of a CSE in the Philippine curriculum has been a controversial topic prior to the passing of the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012, with the largest contributing factor to this being the religious background of the country and the taboo that it associates with the said program. The study focuses on finding more information regarding the status of a CSE and identifying the factors that contribute to the stigma using bell hooks’ feminist discourse. For the final output, the researcher delved deeper into how Tarot Cards, particularly from the Major Arcana may be used as a form of art. It was found that cards were designed to embody real-life events to convey a message. In conclusion, it was decided by the researcher that the final output will be to create a ten-piece Tarot Card Major Arcana set as a vehicle to deliver the desired message to achieve this plan.
