Good day!
I am currently pursuing an undergraduate thesis with a topic of “A Proposed Storm-Resilient Public School in Camarines Sur, Bicol”. This thesis proposal aims to provide a storm-resilient school in Camarines Sur, Bicol due to the region’s climate as it experiences devastation of infrastructures, especially schools as it threatens students’ education and even their lives.
In this study, I am planning on focusing on Camarines Sur and public schools with education levels from elementary to high school. Because of this, I would like to know more of the following in support of my research:
1) list of public schools (elementary to highschool) damaged by typhoons and heavy rains in Camarines Sur (including what part of school was damaged & what typhoon), for additional information for my architectural thesis.
2) information on what schools are until now damaged (that can be used as redevelopment for thesis), to know what public schools can be used as redevelopment for my architectural thesis & to know what areas in Camarines Sur can be used as a site.
All data gathered and obtained are solely for academic research purposes only for the said fulfillment of the thesis paper and will be handled with high confidentiality.
Thank you.

Abstract:
Camarines Sur, a province of Bicol, experiences frequent heavy rains and typhoons since it is a usual typhoon route. This affects the province as it endangers people and devastates their infrastructures, including school buildings. These usually have weak stability wherein it threatens students’ education and even their lives. Students of devastated schools usually do not have accessible school buildings at the start of the year and must rely on temporary shelters and tents. These temporary shelters enable their education to continue but at the risk of students’ safety. In addition, public schools are used as evacuation centers by affected families of the typhoons and flooding. This not only makes the students’ education at risk, but also the people’s safety are at risk. To begin with, the study presents different architectural design approaches and innovations for storm resiliency that can be incorporated for the proposed building, such as space arrangement and building form in consideration of natural features. This study proposes a storm-resilient public school that multi-functions as an evacuation center.
