Hi! I would like to request the list of places where bamboo plantations were established in all regions in the Philippines. It would be better if map is included but list is fine too.
Also, may I know if you have already finished planting all bamboos in bamboo plantations according to your target for 2018?

Dear Mitchie Mutia-Roa,
Greetings!
This is in response to your follow up query regarding the targets of bamboo for CY 2021 sent through email and through the electronic Freedom of Information (eFOI) portal. For CY 2021, the eNGP targets to plant 82,349 ha of which 40,000 ha is allotted for Bamboo. If in case, that the budget allocation for eNGP will be reduced, targets on Bamboo may be reduced too. The DENR will have to adjust the targets based on how much budget will be approved in the GAA. Though adjustments on targets will be made, the DENR will prioritize allocating its eNGP budget to the planting of Bamboo and maintenance of established plantations in CY 2018 and 2019.
In terms of the species planted in CY 2017-2020, the eNGP has planted the following species: Bayog, Kawayang Tinik, Giant bamboo, Kawayang kiling, Kawayang dilaw, Bolo, Japanese Bamboo, Buho, Patong, Botong, Dalusan, Bagukay/Bagacay/Anos, Laak, Chinese bamboo, Buriraw, Kayali, Tangnan, Lunas, Balatakan, Tambuwang, Togkan, Bagyawa, and Lasak.
In terms of future targets on Bamboo, the Forest Management Bureau projected an annual target of 40,000 ha of bamboo from CY 2021-2031 as we aim to support the wood industry by the use of engineered bamboo in construction. However, this will still depend on the approval of the legislative branch on the budget allocation.
