As part of the requirements for MBA, the undersigned graduate student of Southern Luzon State University is writing a research entitled “EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PWDs IN INDUSTRIAL ZONES WITHIN LAGUNA AND BATANGAS.” In lieu with this, I would like to request the latest official list of PWDs within Laguna and Batangas (specifically areas with industrial zones). Also, if you can provide a list of PWD who are officially employed and those who are unemployed, it will be highly appreciated as they will be the respondents of the study. Thank you very much. 12 November 2019 Dear Ms. Bernadette R. Pardinas, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 11 November 2019 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested for information on the following: (1) Latest official list of PWDs within Laguna and Batangas (specifically areas with industrial zone and (2) List of PWD who are officially employed and those who are unemployed. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) may have the data you require. Pursuant to Presidential Decree 1509, as amended, the NCDA is the national government agency mandated to formulate policies and coordinate the activities of all agencies, whether public or private, concerning disability issues and concerns. They may have the data you need. Hence, you also may wish to direct your request to the NCDA. You may contact them by telephone at 932-6422 or via email at [email protected]. Additionally, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) may have the data that you require. Under Republic Act 10625 (the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected]. Furthermore, since you are asking for information specific to Kaguna , the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cavite may also have the data you wish to obtain. Therefore, you may also direct your request to the LGU of Cavite.
