How do libraries get books (Sponsored, Bought etc.,) 7. Number of children who are reading illiterate or has no access to a library

Response to Request *For questions number 1-3, please see the general data for the number of users below. 2018 - 2,780,872 2019 - 3,873,700 2020 - 3,368,164 2021 - 9,404,563 2022 - 4,080,050 Reference: Based on the consolidated monthly reports submitted to the National Library of the Philippines by the affiliated public libraries. For specific data concerning the number of students and business professionals/workers who used the library and for question numbers 4 and 6, we are enclosing herewith the directory of affiliated public libraries. You may contact any of them or visit any of them that is near your place to get first-hand information to your questions. For question number 5, they may acquire books and also be sponsored or donated by generous book donors. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to NLP Central Appeals and Review Committee at [email protected].
