Iligan wife left the house and live separately from American-Fil. Husband (Mother is Fil-am citizenship). Did not come back anymore and requesting to get back personal things and documents, ex.passports, certificates etc. No children, no property. Marriage took place in Gen. Trias Cavite in a resort place. Proof of Marriage copy has at Phil. Stat. Office.
October 17, 2023 Dear Requesting Party, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Oct 17, 2023 03:44:25 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for information about a certain legal separation or divorce case. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested because divorce and legal separation cases are not under the jurisdiction of the DOJ. Divorce and legal separation are civil in nature so it should be addressed to our courts. For your information, courts are under the Judicial branch of government while the DOJ is under the Executive branch of government which mainly deals with the prosecution of criminal cases.
