December 12, 2022 Dear Mr. Rizo: Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Dec 10, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Income Tax Return and/or BIR Form 2316 and Revenue District Office (RDO) Code for your employment. Response to your request We been calling your mobile number today, December 12, to validate your exiting eFOI request, unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. On your request for RDO Code Verification, you may Utilized the Enhanced BIR Digital Assistant-Chatbot REVIE (www.bir.gov.ph). Click the “Go to Home Page” Drop Down Arrow and then Select the “Avatar Icon – Click here to Chat with Revie”. The said app now include TIN Verification/Validation, RDO Finder and eComplaint Facility. Or visit RDO No. 54B-Kawit Cavite , located at Ground Floor Local Mall Centennial Road, Magdalo Patol Kawit Cavite. TIN and Other Relevant Personal Information is considered a piece of Sensitive Personal Information that is bounded by the Data Privacy Act of 2012, as such, it is not advisable to be uploaded in the FOI Portal because this is a public website. On your other request, if your Source of Income is Purely Compensation from your Employment, you are covered under Substituted Filing and Filing of Income Tax Return (ITR) is not required instead BIR Form 2316 must be accomplished by an EMPLOYER for each employee receiving salaries, wages, and other forms of remuneration, indicating the total amount paid and the taxes withheld for the calendar year. It must be issued to the employee on or before Jan. 31 of the succeeding year, or on the day of last payment of wages in case of termination from employment. This certificate, will serve as your Income Tax Return (ITR) being an employee earning purely compensation income regardless of the amount. You are qualified to “Substituted Filing” of ITR pursuant to Revenue Regulation (RR) No. 2-98 as amended. Please coordinate with your employer and ask for the copy of your BIR Form 2316 from the year 2021-2022 if you have not receive a copy. Thank you.
