Numerous emails have been sent to [email protected]. These emails detail significant money laundering schemes involving: extortion, qualified theft, swindling, forgeries, trafficking in persons, violation of Section 6 of Republic Act No. 8042, and significant felonies or offenses of a similar nature that are punishable under the penal laws of other countries. The AMLC has not taken any material action against the parties involved. It is therefore requested that the AMLC provide records on what actions were taken in relation to these complaints and what is the complaint policy.

Your Request You asked for Investigations or Complaints Against CASH4U, HOYA, FamilyHan, and Prosperity. Response to Request Thank you for your request dated 29 May 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (S. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Based on the details provided in your request for information, it appears that what was being requested involves record of action taken with regard to the alleged money laundering scheme involving entities such as CASH4U, HOYA, FamilyHan and Prosperity. Please be advised that such information pertains to our investigation in the exercise of our mandate, thus, exempted from FOI. As to the query regarding the AMLC’s complaint policy, we inform that complaints may be made by submitting a sworn statement (affidavit) with complete narration of the facts together with the supporting evidence.
