July 9, 2020 Dear karl joshua adriane dazo, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Oct 15, 2019 05:54:33 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You asked for Information. Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested. The UniFAST may extend assistance through the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Program, and Student Loan Program for Tertiary Education - Short Term (SLPTE-ST), all under R.A. 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act. The TES is a grant-in-aid program for students enrolled in SUCs or CHED-recognized LUCs, which grants beneficiaries a subsidy amounting to PhP 40,000.00 subsidy for the whole Academic Year. It must be emphasized that the TES program is subject to a prioritization scheme and availability of funds. 1. Continuing TES student-grantees; 2. Students residing and studying in private Higher Education Institution (HEI) in municipalities or cities with no existing SUCs or CHED-recognized Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs); and 3. Students who are part of the DSWD’s Listahanan 2.0. If you wish to apply for the next academic year, kindly coordinate with the TES Focal Person of your institution to know more about the documentary requirements and updates for application in A.Y. 2020-2021.
