27 February 2018 MS. QING GUAN Dear Ms. Guan: Greetings from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas! This refers to your request for data on inflow of aliens and foreign nationals. We regret that we are unable to provide the information requested since data on inflow of aliens and foreign nationals to the Philippines are not collected by the CFO. The CFO’s primary clientele are Filipino emigrants who will permanently live in other countries and are required to undergo the CFO’s Pre-departure Orientation Seminars or Guidance and Counseling Program before departure. However, arriving foreign nationals, including former Filipino citizens who acquired foreign citizenship through naturalization in other countries, are required to go through the Philippine’s Bureau of Immigration (BI) upon their arrival at the airport. The BI therefore is the appropriate authority to provide you with the information that you need. The BI’s main office may be reached via their hotline at (+632) 465-2400, or for a more detailed directory you may visit this page in their website: http://www.immigration.gov.ph/contact-us/main-office For questions or clarifications, you may contact Mr. Elfred del Rosario of the Policy, Planning and Research Division at telephone number (+632) 552-4763 or email at [email protected]. Thank you and best regards. Sincerely, UNDERSECRETARY ASTRAVEL PIMENTEL-NAIK Executive Director
