Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board(LTFRB)

Hi! I would like to request for information about the vehicles that is still impounded at LTFRB.

DOJ stated on June 7, 2023 that LTFRB has no power to impound colorum vehicles yet they are still asking for the full payment of the penalty for the vehicle.

I wanted to know if this is even a legal thing to do and if LTFRB still have the right to receive the payments?

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have [some of]* the information you have requested. However, you may wish to provide us with the details of his impounded vehicle in order to check with our records. 

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Our van has been impounded almost 9 months now and it is still FOR RESOLUTION until now. Can that at least be taken care seriously? If not, we will take legal action instead of waiting and waiting for all of you to do your job CORRECTLY and JUST.
