Hello! I'm planning to start up a business but I don't know what to put on cooked "ulams" to increase their shelf life for like 5 years? So basically I'll be making this "ulams" (Adobo, Menudo, Sisig, etc.) a military type Meal Ready to Eat (MRE) containing at least 1,250 calories with vitamins and minerals that will be used by our Filipino troops in the field and of course as foods in case of emergency and disaster. Foods that will be included in the menu are meat, gata (if possible), vegetables and kakanin. Also what are good alternative to plastics I can use as a packaging for the MRE?
