Hi! I would like to ask for the following: 1. How often do pregnant detainees go for a check up? 2. Are pregnant and nursing detainees with infants separated from other female detainees? 3. When a detainee is giving birth, are they shackled or any objects which restrains them from moving? If so, kindly indicate what objects are used. 4. What are the complications which female detainees experience or complain while being pregnant? 5. Were there cases on pregnant detainees smoking or using drugs in jail? We appreciate if all questions are answered

Good day, I would like to ask for a follow up regarding my requests. Thank you.
Good afternoon! As to the inquiry of the legal management students, allegedly, from La Salle. The DHS is vetting the veracity of the requesting party. We already communicated with them and sought for their school endorsement since the data they are requesting are confidential. Also, they are requesting to interview the pregnant/mother PDL. We still waiting for their compliance over our request. The DHS is taking the matter seriously since we had previous experience with pregnant/mother PDL associated with political affiliation. Thank you. Sincerely, Directorate for Health Service
