Greetings from the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ). We write in connection with a research that PCIJ is conducting on Palawan. In this regard, we would like to request your kind assistance for us to be able to get a copy of the following digital files or data:
1. List of hotels and/or hotel-resorts in Palawan, including details of name and location of hotel, capacity, name of owner, data established, etc. (spreadsheet)
2. Map file of all hotels and/or hotel-resorts in Palawan (shape file)
We are requesting these files for research and reporting purposes.

Your Request
You asked for Hotels in Palawan.
Response to Request
Your FOI request was approved. We enclosed a copy of the information you have requested.
DOT Region IV-B replaced the Name of Owner to Name of General Manager in compliance to Republic Act No. 10173, or the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Likewise, please be informed that the attached file was the only data that the DOT Region IV-B was able to provide.
As for the requested data on Item No. 2, you may coordinate with the Provincial Government of Palawan thru their website at https://www.palawan.gov.ph/
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at 351 Sen.
