June 22, 2020 Dear Princess Rayo, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Mar 04, 2020 03:09:19 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for Hotel Occupancy, ADR and Number of Tourists per City in the Philippines from year 2015 to 2019. Response to Request Your FOI request is approved. We enclosed the copies of the information you requested. Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested. We are still waiting for the data from DOT Regions I, IV-A, VII, X and XIII. Below are the data provided by DOT-NCR upon coordination with their office: 1. Hotel occupancy (no data disaggregated per municipality for the years requested): 2015 - 66.95% 2016 - 66.08% 2017 - 64.72% 2018 - 65.41% 2019 data still under validation; and 2. DOT-NCR does not record average daily room rate per city/municipality. According to DOT Region V, DOT started conducting the Accommodation Capacity Survey last 2012 with an interval of 2-3 years that's why they only have the data from 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2019 for the number of hotel rooms. For more information regarding the data of Regions III and IV-B, you may contact their respective Provincial Tourism Offices. We shall send the directory provided by DOT Regions III and IV-B to your email address. As for DOT-CAR, their office has no data on the average daily room rate per city/ municipality as it is not included in the data collection. They have recommended to directly contact the accommodation establishments for the said data. You may find the list of DOT-accredited accommodation establishments in their Region at http://www.tourism.gov.ph/. Likewise, some data will be sent to your email address. The portal cannot process all attachments due to large file size. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at 351 Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
