Good day mam/sir
I am Isabel Sadorra, 5th year architecture student from Far Eastern University - Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts.
In line with the aforementioned, I am in need of pertinent data or information that will support my Thesis Proposal entitled, “Centro Kaliksi (Kalinga Likhang-Sining): Kalinga Cultural Center for art and crafts.”.
Data about the following:
1. Age group of Home Economic Education
- An information of how home economic education works in the philippines and what is the starting age of doing home economic activities.
2. Consideration of Culture/ Ethnicity in the Development of Home Economic Education
- Information about the relation of Home Economic education to Culture / Ethnicity and how does it works.
- Different approach of Home Economic Education to culture from urban context of education.
Regarding about my Thesis proposal here a short abstract about it.
The cultural center serves recreation and education that will be start-up support with the artistic cultural condition of Kalinga. A Kalinga cultural center for art and craft. Thus, it functions as a learning and teaching workshop center wherever representatives of sub-tribes of Kalinga are the teaching instructors. Those are gift culture bearers (25-50 years old) promoting the revival of ancient art and craft whereas young learners are aged from 10-25 years old in reliance in the demographic status of Kalinga community and age dependency ratio of Kalinga that in this age range they have the capability to learn and inherit the importance of conserving their cultural art. The cultural center provides ancient craft activities like loom weaving, pottery, basketry, jewelry making and finally tattooing. Aside from educational purpose on spreading traditional crafting, it also function as cultural tourist and recreational center where events such as festivals, forums, exhibition, and interactive activities can be held in the cultural center. Lastly serves as a residential facility where culture artisans, young learners, and visiting tourist and learners have a dormitory that they could stay in.
