April 30, 2021 Dear Genevieve Perfecto, I refer to my letter of Apr 29, 2021 11:10:37 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Historical data by Gross Premium of Life, Non-Life (excluding travel) and Travel Insurance. In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. On 27 April 2021, we received a request entitled "Gross Premium of Life, Non Life and Travel Insurance in the PH" (Tracking No.: #IC-738128227346). Upon closer look, said earlier FOI request and this one both pertains to copy of historical data based on gross premium written for life insurance, non-life (excluding travel), and travel insurance for the period 31 December 2016 to 31 December 2020. In particular, it would be helpful to know if the said requests are referring to the same sets of information/data. Response to Request In relation to your request, please be informed that the provided data are based on regular reports on gross premiums written posted at the IC Website which may be viewed at the following links: 1. https://www.insurance.gov.ph/statistics/non-life/ 2. https://www.insurance.gov.ph/statistics/life/ Also, please be advise that reported data specific to travel insurance is limited as most companies do not disaggregate it from their accident line of business.
