23 March 2021 Dear MS. LIBERTY R. ESPALLARDO, This refers to your eFOI request received on 10 March 2021 sent to the eFOI portal of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Fund) where you requested for a copy of the Fund’s guidelines on condonation of loan and/or interest penalty program. Our Office deemed it proper to raise this matter to and confer with the operating unit concerned – the Research and Development Department (RDD). Our RDD provided guidelines relative to your request concerning the Fund’s Housing Loans, as attached: (i) Circular No. 386 on the Amended Guidelines on the Condonation of Penalties and Additional Interest of Delinquent Housing Loan Accounts, and (ii) Circular No. 439 on the Guidelines on the Pag-IBIG Fund Special Housing loan Restructuring Program. Copies of the said Circulars can be accessed at the Fund's website: (https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/circulars_housing.html) Meanwhile, as for our Member Services penalty condonation programs, which commonly target employers and pertain to their remittance of members savings, our RDD confirmed that it was offered for a limited period only (six (6) months to one (1) year from effectivity of the guidelines).
