Hi good day! I would like to ask the government if i can get assistance being a ex-ofw from hongkong and a solo parent as well. As i am a widower last april 2019. Name: Glaiza kay conde martinez Address: zone 5 Brgy, consolacion urdaneta city pangasinan And also I would like to ask if there is any cash assistance for solo parent? I have a 3 daughter and 1 son, I'm affected by this pandemic as im the only who supporting my children. Thank you very much for your fast response. God bless!

May 16, 2021 Dear Ms. Glaiza Kay Martinez, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated May 15, 2021 01:28:58 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch seeking assistance as SOLO Parent. OWWA understands your situation and as a government agency we have our own mandate. The SOLO Parent Act provides that DSWD, DepED and DILG through your local government unit (LGU) is responsible to assist your needs in rearing your children. Unfortunately, the current programs of OWWA are limited to its active members except for the bereavement assistance which your children can get once an OFW member has departed. Know your privileges by visiting your LGU. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.
