I am Alyannah Terite, a 5th BS Civil Engineering student at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am currently conducting a thesis undergraduate study on the Analysis of Soil-Structure Interaction: Dynamic Response of MRT-3 Foundation due to Earthquake Loading. The general objective of the study is to analyze the effects of soil-structure interaction (SSI) due to earthquake loading and its application on the dynamic response of MRT-3 foundation.
The documents that I need are of the bridge span between Santolan and Ortigas.

Supposedly, my study was focused on the LRT-2 foundations since the bridge span between Santolan and Katipunan lies on a soft soil and directly above the West Valley fault. However, my request for the documents was declined because of the state of renovation of the rectifier substations. Hence, I decided to change the scope of my analysis to MRT-3.
The specific objectives are:
1. To utilize RS3 for the modeling and simulation of the behavior of MRT-3 foundation during an expected strong ground motion ("The Big One")
2. To develop a methodology for incorporating soil-structure interaction in the foundation structural analysis.
3. To provide key parameter inputs for a possible structural retrofit of MRT-3 foundation members due to the effects of soil-structure interaction for expected strong ground motion
The study will be focused on the analysis of the seismic vulnerability of the bridge span between Santolan and Ortigas stations during "The Big One."
The study will be beneficial to the current design specifications since the incorporation of the soil-structure interaction in the design procedure will result in a realistic estimate of the dynamic response of the structure. It will also provide a modern computational framework for specific foundation structural analysis. Lastly, the possible damage or collapse of MRT-3 when subjected to strong ground motion will be avoided due to the structural retrofitting of the necessary members.
Rest assured that all these documents will remain confidential and will only be used for this research study. I hope that I’ll be able to receive these documents by the second week of February so I can already start the modelling and simulation since I have to finish the whole research study by May of the same year. Should you have any questions or updates, you may contact me at 0997 609 5272 or email me at [email protected].
I look forward to hearing from you and I thank you in advance for your time.

To whom it may concern,
Good day!
I am a 5th year BS Civil Engineering student at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The documents that I requested will solely be used on my undergraduate thesis study: Analysis of Soil-Structure Interaction: Dynamic Response of MRT-3 Foundation due to Earthquake Loading.
I will model and simulate the MRT bridge span and foundations during a strong ground motion and analyze the soil-structure interaction involved.
I would like to ask for your email so I can send the letter of intent.
Thank you! Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Alyannah Terite
