October 5, 2023 Dear Leah, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Oct 02, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Geological Map/Conditions, Hazard Maps, Soil Types existing in San Mateo Rizal. Response to your request Please informed of the following: 1. Requests pertaining to geological maps and publications of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) does not fall under the scope of FOI but under the frontline services of the MGB. MGB Publications including Geological Quadrangle Maps at 1:50,000 scale and Geological Map of the Philippines are subject to a fee of PHP 500.00 per map, pursuant to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Administrative Order No. 2005-08. Transactions related to the sale or reproduction of MGB Publications should be directed to the Lands Geological Survey Division of the MGB Central Office which you may contact through telephone number: (02) 8667-6700 local 180 or email at [email protected]. 2. MGB-published Geohazard Maps consisting of Rain-induced Landslide and Flood Hazard Maps are already available online and therefore cannot be counted as a valid FOI request. You may download MGB Geohazard Maps from the MGB website at mgb.gov.ph or through the link below: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/c48f83f81f1548bdb0a76c61638d52d6/ 3. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, this Office does not have data on the Soil Types of San Mateo, Rizal as it is not within the mandate of this Office. You may wish to contact the Bureau of Soils and Water Management for requests pertaining to soil types. Otherwise, you may re-submit your eFOI request addressed to the correct agency mentioned.
