September 6, 2021 Dear ALDO, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 04, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for financial assistance for healthcare worker who got infected with covid-19. Respond to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have information regarding your ECC claims for COVID 19. However, you may wish to contact the GSIS or the ECC or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal at https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests?agency=ECC and https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests?agency=GSIS. We wish to inform you that the coverage of financial assistance under the PCSO Medical Assistance Program is for hospital confinement, chemotherapy and dialysis requests. Application for assistance shall depend upon the location of the health facility where the patient is being managed/treated. For facilities within Metro Manila, assistance is processed through online application at the PCSO Official Website. Please go to, find the E-Services tab and click on the NCR Online Application for Medical Assistance. For the Medical Assistance Program requirements, kindly go to this link https://www.pcso.gov.ph/ProgramsAndServices/CAD/MedicalAccessProgram.aspx. For those in the provinces, either proceed directly to the servicing PCSO Branch Office or coordinate first with the Medical Social Services or Billing Department of the facility, if applicable, to inquire on the specific process, as procedures vary between Branch Offices. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to [email protected].
