To whom it may concern: My dad who is a senior citizen and with pre-existing condition such as diabetes and hypertension got hospitalized due to covid19 in Makati Medical center since September 17, 2021. My dad was considered as a critical covid patient by the doctors where we spent 3 days and 2 nights in emergency room since his oxygen level are very unstable. He become unconscious and had a cardiac arrest that results to multiple stroke making his left arm disabled. We are still in the hospital and expenses are running high. We ask for your assistance of any amount to help with expenses.

Thank you for your request dated Sep 28, 2021 10:42:38 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Financial Assistance for Critical covid patient - Senior Citizen. Response to your request We wish to inform you that the coverage of financial assistance under the PCSO Medical Assistance Program is for hospital confinement, chemotherapy and dialysis requests. Application for assistance shall depend upon the location of the health facility where the patient is being managed/treated. For facilities within Metro Manila, assistance is processed through online application at the PCSO Official Website. Please go to , find the E-Services tab and click on the NCR Online Application for Medical Assistance. For the Medical Assistance Program requirements, kindly go to this link https://www.pcso.gov.ph/ProgramsAndServices/CAD/MedicalAccessProgram.aspx. For those in the provinces, either proceed directly to the servicing PCSO Branch Office or coordinate first with the Medical Social Services or Billing Department of the facility, if applicable, to inquire on the specific process, as procedures vary between Branch Offices. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to . Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
