Good day! I am requesting for your good office to give the estimated decrease in the number of vehicle ownership upon the implementation of PUV Modernization Program in Batangas City. I would also like to know what are the future plans for the designation of Loading and unloading zones, stops and terminals if ever possible. The said data would help in our technical study for forecasting the future passenger demand. Thank you!

November 26, 2019 Dear Janeth Caballero, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 14, 2019 03:10:06 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for expected decrease of number of vehicle ownership upon implementation of PUV modernization. Response to Request The Batangas City Local Government Unit has yet to submit their Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) which will determine the public utility vehicle (PUV) routes, appropriate transportation modes, and the number of units. Hence, we are constrained to provide projections on the number of people who can be accommodated by the rationalized routes in the LPTRP. The locations of the PUV stops and terminals shall be included in the planning of routes in the LPTRP. The actual construction of the said infrastructure will be facilitated by the respective Local Government Unit. Thank you. Respectfully, DOTR-DM DOTR FOI Receiving Officer
