According to Section 6b(ii) of EO No. 77, "Meals in an amount not exceeding the 30% of the authorized meal component of the DTE as indicated in Section 5 hereof."
Our Office (NGA) is located in NCR thus, this section will apply. However, our auditor interpreted the mentioned clause as:
Meal allowance not exceeding the 30% OF THE 30% of 2,200 (which is 660) or 198 pesos only.
In line with this, I would like to ask for clarification regarding this matter. It is fair and reasonable that field travels within NCR can also avail the 30% of 2,200.

This refers to your query whether field travels within NCR can also avail of 30% of P2,200.
The rules and regulations on the rates of expenses and allowances for official travels of government personnel are provided under Executive Order No. 77. For those traveling within the 50-kilometer radius from the permanent official station, the specific rules are provided under Item 6.0 thereof.
