Your Request You asked for Energy/Biofuel of Coconut Biomass. To address your request, please see below details. Coconut oil (CNO) is currently used as feedstock in the production of biodiesel (coconut methyl ester or CME) which is mandated {under the Biofuels Act of 2006 (R.A. 9367) } to be blended in all diesel fuels sold in the country. The current mandated blend is two percent (2%). In the Philippines, we have already 11 accredited biodiesel production plants (See attached). For other parts of coconut, i.e., frond, husk, shell, we do not have data yet.
