Dear Kristelyn Aguilar,
Happy Holidays!
I refer to your letter dated 4 December 2017 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for the Editorial Policy of PCOO and SMO.
Our response to your request is due today 27 December 2017. Unfortunately, it is taking longer than expected to deal with your request because PCOO does not have a singular editorial policy. Instead, each of its attached agencies and bureaus, like People's Television (PTV) and Philippine News Agency (PNA), have their own editorial policies.
I apologize for this delay but have applied for an extension so we could work further on your request. My office has already requested for our attached agencies, bureaus and offices, to submit their editorial policies, and we hope to be able to send you a response on or before 26 January 2018.
Should you have any questions regarding your request, kindly contact me using the reply function on the eFOI portal at https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests/aglzfmVmb2ktcGhyHgsSB0NvbnRlbnQiEVBDT08tOTQ2NDk0NTk5NTQyDA, for request with ticket number #PCOO-946494599542.
Thank you.

Dear Kristelyn Aguilar,
New Year Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated 4 December 2017 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
YOUR REQUEST
You asked for Editorial Policy of PCOO and SMO.
RESPONSE TO YOUR REQUEST
Your FOI request is PARTIALLY SUCCESSFUL.
We would like to inform you that PCOO and its attached agencies are still in the process of approving their respective editorial policies. Only one of its agencies, the Philippine Information Agency or PIA, has an existing editorial style guide. It can be downloaded at http://m.pia.gov.ph/dcc/files/PND/PND-G-001%20rev0%20(PIA%20Editorial%20and%20Style%20Guide).pdf.
With regard to the social media office (SMO), we are awaiting the issuance of the social media policy for government offices currently being formulated by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). Our social media guidelines will be approved and published once there is guidance from DICT.
Thank you for understanding.
Respectfully,
Kristian Ablan
