GOOD DAY MAAM / SIR!
I AM WRITING TO CLARIFY THE CORRECT GUIDELINES THAT IS IMPLEMENTED IN AVAILING COVID 19 WORK RELATED ECC CLAIMS. SINCE I AM WORKING IN A PRIVATE HOSPITAL, I AM ADVISED TO FILE MY EC CLAIMS ON SSS, HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD THAT THE GUIDELINES SET BY THE SSS IS DIFFERENT BY THE GUIDELINES SET BY ECC DOLE. IS IT TRUE? I HAVE PRINTED THE ECC BOARD RES. 21-04-14 about the conditions set by your good office, UNFORTUNATELY, I WAS TOLD THAT YOUR GUIDELINESS IN DETERMINING WORK RELATED COVID19 CLAIMS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE GUIDELINESS SET BY THE SSS.

FURTHERMORE, I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD FILE DIRECTLY TO YOUR OFFICE (ECC), HOWEVER WHEN I CHECKED YOUR WEBSITE, I FOUND OUT THAT A "VOUCHER FROM WORK RELATED COVID 19 CLAIM APPROVAL" FROM SSS IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO FILE IN YOUR OFFICE,
NOW, IF THE GUIDELINESS OF SSS IN DETERMINING WORK RELATED COVID19 ECC CLAIM IS NOT THE SAME AS WHAT YOU RELEASED ON BOARD RES. 21-04-14, THEN THERE IS A LIKELIHOOD THAT KY ECC CLAIM WILL BE REJECTED FROM SSS AND SINCE IT IS REJECTED, I CANNOT APPLY IN YOUR OFFICE SINCE I DONT HAVE THE APPROVED VOUCHER WHICH IS ONE OF YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
I HOPE YOUR GOOD OFFICE CAN CLARIFY THESE CONTRASTING GUIDELINESS, THANK YOU!

-The Employees' Compensation Program (ECP) aims to provide disability or death benefits due to work-connected sickness or injury;
-ECP covers all civilian employees in the government with GSIS coverage including uniformed personnel and all compulsory members of the SSS;
-SSS serves as implementing agency of ECP in the private sector whereas GSIS implements the ECP in the public sector; the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) serves as appeal and policy-making body of the ECP; as implementing agency in the private sector, the evaluation of EC claims resides in the SSS;
-EC benefits are distinct and separate from SSS and GSIS benefits;
-EC cash assistance serves as accessory benefits to EC disability or death benefits due to work-connected covid19;

good day!
thank you for your reply. however, i am asking for clarifications regarding the guidelines being used by the sss in assessing the covid 19 work related ec claim, i am aware that the sss is the implementing agency for private employees, in line with my question, what is the power of the ECC BOARD RESOLUTION 21-04-14? is the guidelines stated in this resolution applies to the implementing agency such as sss? please clarify the extent to which this resolution is applicable..
