Hi! I am Kaith Abigail Cango, 22 years old, female residing in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. I am a graduating student enrolled in Riverside College, Inc. taking up the Degree in Nursing. My father applied for the TABANG/EASE OWWA scholarship program last February 03,2021, I have received the EASE financial assistance of P 10,000 per school year. However, I would like to ask if there's a progress in my DOLE Tabang Program Application Form that was sent last 2021. May I know if there's already a result? Thanks!

Good Day, Ma’am! I am really hoping that my TABANG Program Application will be accepted. I am relying on this financial support program because I still have a remaining balance of my tuition fee at school. This pandemic has put my family into a financial crisis. I am a dedicated nursing student, consistent dean’s lister and committed to my studies. However, with my financial situation I am struggling to comply with my educational fees. Thank you very much! January 13, 2022 Dear Ms. Kaith Abigail Cango, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 11, 2022 04:44:05 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for an update of your DOLE-TABANG 2nd tranche release. Ms. Cango you failed to provide the name of your OFW father. He is the applicant to the educational benefits you received. Hence, we cannot check the accuracy of the data/information. The DOLE-TABANG and OWWA-EASE are different educational programs. TABANG is a program of DOLE and CHED while OWWA-EASE is intended for active OWWA Members who lost employment overseas and whose dependent is enrolled in college. Read the overview of these programs in the agency's respective websites. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.
