i would like to ask why is it that my husband's akap was approved but they said that he is not qualified because he was not able to return to the Philippines last 2020. he would like to transfer it to my name because he is still at saudi arabia. my husband's name is paul denise abayon rusiana. thank you

April 28, 2022 Dear Ms. Loren Rusiana, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Apr 26, 2022 12:50:25 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for a change of claimant/recipient of DOLE-AKAP financial benefits. Ms. Russiana the DOLE AKAP is intended for repatriated OFWS who lost their employment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The online application of Mr. Paul Denise Rusiana is on April, 20, 2020 and he did not claim his benefits. Hence, you will have to coordinate closely with DOLE Regional Office VII or call DOLE Hotline 1349 for the procedures in changing claimants as well as the status of the DOLE-AKAP. Moreover be correctly informed that the DOLE-AKAP is directly under thee Dept. off Labor and Employment. Hence, the processing and release of financial benefits is with the DOLE Regional Offices. The role of OWWA is to validate and check the requirements submitted with the application if the OFW is QUALIFIED to receive financial benefits. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter.
