Hi! Im writing in behalf of my father. Its been 5 months and we havent receive any benefits from DOLE AKAP yet. We have been checking the status online but still "on que". We tried contacting OWWA Iloilo but to no avail. His application number 600247. Can you update us when can we claim the benefits because we badly need it now. Thanks

November 9, 2021 Dear Ms. Gwendale Chuachingco, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 08, 2021 12:00:58 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for an update of the DOLE-AKAP Application of your father. Ms. Chuachingco we cannot provide you the information you require on the status of the DOLE-AKAP of your father for two (2) reasons. First, you did not state the name of the OFW and second, the FOI-Portal is intended to provide the public with data and information of the services of government agencies what you are requesting is classified as personal in nature particularly since you are not the owner of the data/personal information. Such, is a violation of the Data Privacy Law. It is suggested that you ask the OFW to contact directly the DOLE-Regional Office where your alleged father/OFW filed his application. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.
