I'm asking for the status of the cash assistance application from OWWA-Dole Akap under Sharra Saracanlao. I have checked the dole-akap tracker and it says there my application has been approved but until now I have NOT received any txt message from Dole-Akap/OWWA to claim the money. Other OFW who applied after me already received a text message except for me. so unfair! I humbly ask for a response on this matter. I have been emailing Dole-Akap NCR and tried contacting the OWWA hotline but they're very hard to reach. Always not available. I am very frustrated already. Thank you.

September 16, 2021 Dear Ms. Sharra Saracanlao, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 14, 2021 12:29:49 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for an update of your DOLE-AKAP Application. OWWA Verification System shows that you applied online twice for the DOLE-AKAP. Your first application on May 17,2021 was Disqualified since you were still at the jobsite and have not been repatriated. On your 2nd application on June 4, 2021 you were Qualified by OWWA NCR as QUALIFIED to DOLE-AKAP. The next procedure is for DOLE Region NCR to process and release your financial benefits to be claimed from a remittance center. Hence, you have to follow-up with the DOLE-NCR. Ms. Saracanlao may we clarify to you the Freedom of Information (FOI) portal which is a project of the Presidential Communication Operation Office under the Office of the President. Its major function is to allow any Filipino citizen to request information about the data, programs, services and benefits or anything about the transactions and operation of specific government offices, provided, it shall not put into jeopardy the privacy of individuals and matters of national security. What you are requesting is a personal information on your DOLE-AKAP application which is not an information allowed to be shared to the public. Hence, we suggest you address your request to the DOLE Regional Director of NCR for the status of your benefits. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter.
