Good day. May we request for an update on the legal comment of DOJ on the double compensation issue regarding on the NAPOLCOM's PNP welfare benefits. Per COA they are requesting NAPOLCOM to ask for a legal comment from DOJ for them to be able to determine whether to lift the AOM or not. This welfare benefits has been suspended since January 01 2020. We are already in the second of the year. DBM have already released the SARO and NCA but NAPOLCOM cannot to process or release it due to COA's AOM.

Thank you. Respectfully, Irene Dulin FOI Officer
Any update? We are already October 3 2020. It is only the DOJ's legal opinion that the DBM and COA is waiting before permitting NAPOLCOM'S to resume its PNP Welfare Benefits. This anxiety that is caused by DBM and COA's stoppage of our NAPOLCOM pension is really affecting the mental health of beneficiaries. The government has been turning a deaf ear to the pleas of its PNP personnel who have sacrificed and served the country to its highest standards. We want to know if DOJ would side with the pensioners or would agree to the DBM and COA's stand of "double compensation" so that we can file necessary legal actions.
10 March 2021 Dear Ar-rafih Jamalul Moh, Greetings! This Department is constrained to deny your request for an update on the legal opinion regarding the NAPOLCOM benefits as the same is still pending for review and deliberation. An officially released issuance or opinion regarding the matter of your request is yet to be finalized. Thank you. GEORGE O. ORTHA II Chief State Counsel FOI Decision Maker
