Date of Coverage: 01/03/2023 - 01/04/2023

Good morning I would like to request information regarding my mother Annabel T. Torrenueva if she were to apply Disability Pension with 33 years in service of work at Philippine Postal Corporation Kalibo Aklan. She wanted to ask if how much is her monthly pension for her 33 years in service?
January 25, 2023 Dear Annabel, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 04, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for DISABILITY PENSION INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS. Response to your request This particular information is not a valid FOI request as it is not a request for document but an update on the status of a prior request made. To inquire regarding the status of your mother’s application for Disability Pension, you may course the same through the Human Resource Department of Postal Area 6. Nevertheless, the undersigned has inquired with the Area Office, and was informed that your mother is still an active employee and has submitted neither an application for disability benefit nor an intent to retire. As regards the computation of monthly pension, I was informed that an application for Disability Benefit is subject for the GSIS’ approval and computation. For more information kindly inquire directly with the HR of Postal Area 6, or the GSIS. Unfortunately the FOI portal is not the proper venue considering that this is not a mere request for document and considering the fact that you may have to provide health records which is considered sensitive information and which is not advisable to be uploaded here as the files attached are made public. For further assistance you may review the FAQ section of the eFOI site: https://www.foi.gov.ph/help. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to PHLPost Central Appeals and Review Committee. You may address the same to: The Postmaster General & CEO Philippine Postal Corporation 3F Manila Post Office Bldg. Liwasang Bonifacio, Magallanes Drive 1000 Manila City, Metro Manila Email – [email protected] Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal further to the Office of the Board of Directors of PHLPost, whose decision is appealable to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you. Respectfully, Atty. Mark Joseph Abelardo FOI Receiving Officer
