Hi! I would like to request for information regarding:
1) Detailed Engineering Design & Drawings of the North Triangle Common Station, the MRT-7 Station that will be adjacent to it, and the Underground North Avenue Subway Station connected to it.
2) Architectural Design Guidelines / Criteria or similar parameters used in designing the subway station project.

The data will be used for my thesis project entitled, “The Metro Manila Mixed-Use Central Subway Station Project: A Gateway to Humane Underground Development & Infrastructure” as a partial requirement for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Architecture. With the goal to help restore dignity to the Filipino riding public and promote a sustainable Philippine public transportation, the following are its project objectives:
1. To help reduce Metro Manila's worsening traffic condition;
2. To promote the access to and quality of public transport;
3. To deliver efficient access of basic needs in transport-related public spaces;
4. To introduce new strategies to reduce the initial impact of floods and storm surges.

Your Request
You asked for Detailed Engineering Design of North Triangle Common Station & Underground Subway Station.
Response to Request
According to our Rail Comms-EID, we cannot provide the DED of MMSP and Common Station. At this stage of the project, some of its sections are still under finalization of detailed engineering design, considering that the projects have a Design-Build contract.
As for the design criteria:
Site criteria for station location proposal is determined by evaluating several criteria such as ridership demand, accessibility, coverage, potential for land use conversion and urban development, connectivity potential, potential social and environmental impacts (should be minimized), related costs, and of course technical considerations such as elevation, being away from faults, flood and inundation, etc. Guidelines for design and construction of a project, similar to other infrastructure or civil works projects, we generally follow the National Building Code of the Philippines and several DPWH issuances.
If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
