Dear Mr. Kent Blanco,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated with tracking #CWC-822589081343 via CWC e-FOI Portal on September 26, 2021 at 04:08 P.M. under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your request
You asked data on number of reported cases on violence against children and reported cases of children suicide in Batangas or in any province in CALABARZON from March 2020 to September 2021 for your research and development article.
Response to your request
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information that you have requested because the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) is not a direct implementing agency. The CWC is the focal inter-agency body of the Philippine Government for Children. It is mandated to coordinate the implementation and enforcement of all laws; formulate, monitor and evaluate policies, programs and measures for children.
Available information only is national and regional data on child abuse and a report on violence against children based in 2015 National Baseline Study on Violence Against Children (Source: Quick Data of Children’s Situation During the Covid-19 Pandemic, published on September 2020 and from January 2020 to April 2021). The data are accessible online at the CWC website with link address www.cwc.gov.ph.
