Good day!
I am currently pursuing an undergraduate thesis with a topic of “A Proposed Storm-Resilient Public School in Camarines Sur, Bicol”. This thesis proposal aims to provide a storm-resilient school in Camarines Sur, Bicol due to the region’s climate as it experiences devastation of infrastructures, especially schools as it threatens students’ education and even their lives.
In this study, I am planning on focusing on Camarines Sur and public schools with education levels from elementary to high school. Because of this, I would like to know more of the following in support of my research:
1) Data on the suspension of classes in Bicol region (or specifically Camarines Sur) due to storms and heavy rains since 2015 up to present to further analyze the state of schools during such calamity and to know how often the storms and heavy rains affect the education of students.
2) The standards in building a school in Bicol (or specifically Camarines Sur) for disaster resiliency, so I can base the methodologies of my thesis problem around these standards and for it to be aligned with the building regulations of Bicol or Camarines Sur regarding disaster resiliency.
All data gathered and obtained are solely for academic research purposes only for the said fulfillment of the thesis paper and will be handled with high confidentiality.
If I may add, I also have a data request with the tracking number #DepEd-383462380834 for the same government agency (DepEd) for the same purpose (research purposes for fulfillment of architectural thesis paper).
Thank you.
