    a) SPED schools (public&private)
    b) inclusive or mainstream schools (pub&priv)
    c)  in foster/adoptive homes or institutions
5) No. of CWD who are:
    a) abandoned
    b) neglected
    c) abused
6) No. of CWD who seek services

Response to your request

Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request.

It is the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that may have the data you require. Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected].

Further, pursuant to Presidential Decree 1509, as amended, the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) is the national government agency mandated to formulate policies and coordinate the activities of all agencies, whether public or private, concerning disability issues and concerns. They may have additional data. Hence, you also may wish to direct your request to the NCDA. You may contact them by telephone at 932-6422 or via email at [email protected].

For number (4), CWD enrollment data is with the Department of Education. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the DepEd by submitting a request to them via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at  636-1663, 633-1942 or +639194560027 or via email at [email protected].

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Secretary ROLANDO JOSELITO D.
